Trump tells governors they must 'dominate' protesters

(CNN)President Donald Trump, agitated and distressed after three nights of violent protests in dozens of cities across the country, including outside of his home, told the nation's governors in a video teleconference Monday to aggressively target violent protesters he said would only respond to a show of force. "You have to dominate or you'll look like a bunch of jerks, you have to arrest and try people," the President told the governors in a call from the basement White House Situation Room, according to an audio recording of the call obtained by CNN.

In the conversation -- which drew a rebuke from Illinois's Democratic governor on the call -- Trump appeared angry and chastised what he characterized as a weak response to protests in certain places, which he said allowed violence to take hold. Trump emphasized his belief the violence is being fomented by forces from the "radical left." And he suggested to governors it was their responsibility, not his, to tamp down harshly on the continued unrest.

"It's a movement, if you don't put it down it will get worse and worse," Trump said. "The only time its successful is when you're weak and most of you are weak." In admonishing the governors for not doing more to quell the violence, which raged again on Sunday night, Trump was reverting to a hardline "law and order" mantle he believes is the best way to confront growing racial unrest across the nation.
Trump said the "whole world was laughing at Minneapolis over the police station getting burned," referring to the city where protests began last week after the death of an unarmed black man who was being taken into police custody.

Attack dogs, beatings, anything violent seems to get him all fired up. Trump makes me think of the deranged serial killers who often start their killings with small animals when they’re children. Maybe that’s why he got shipped off to military school—no family pets left alive.

"Trump only calls it 'Radical Left violence' when the people fight back." When his followers engage in violence in Charlottesville, storm state capitols carrying heavy weaponry and beat up protesters at his Nuremberg rallies, they're "very good people."

is all he understands. He doesn't GET what we as a nation aspire to be. And yeah, I know, we often fail ourselves, but he doesn't get. it. He doesn't GET what the president does. He doesn't GET actual leadership. He thinks you have to dominate people to get them to do what you want. It was probably the way he was raised, so it's the only way he knows. That's one of the reasons he doesn't get, and hates, Obama. People LIKE Obama and respect Obama, and Obama doesn't even have to bully and dominate them into it. How is that possible, sez Trump?

gesticulating wildly with his tiny little hands, checking himself in the mirror and nodding approvingly at the larger than life figure his encephalopathic brain tells him he sees.

Working himself up into a televangelistic fever pitch until red blotches breach the armor of orange he wears as a shield against the glaringly obvious chyrons of a life lived in vacuous repose scroll across his bloated face.

"I alone!", he bellows.

"I Alone!", he roars.

"I accept no responsibility", he intones.

I know you are but what am I?, he ends.

To a protest. They have already used tear gas at that Walmart.

I am watching a huge protest at Fairfield Commons there. Mostly whites, young and peaceful protests are all over the area.

Trump sounded totally unhinged at that rant by Governors.
