Pritzker Blasts Trump 'Rhetoric,' Trump Fires Back On Call
Source: IL Patch
ILLINOIS Gov. J.B. Pritzker pushed back against President Donald Trump's "inflammatory" rhetoric on a call with state and federal officials Monday morning.
...
"We've called out our National Guard and our state police, but the rhetoric that's coming out of the White House is making it worse," Pritzker told the president, according to audio obtained by the Washington Post. "And I need to say that people are feeling real pain out there, and we've got to have national leadership in calling for calm and making sure that we're addressing the concerns of the legitimate, peaceful protesters. That will help us to bring order."
"OK, well thank you very much, J.B.," Trump told Pritzker. "I don't like your rhetoric much either."
Rather than calling for calm or addressing the protesters' concerns as Pritzker asked, Trump referred to the protesters as "antifa," "radical left" and "professional anarchists."

"I know you are, but what am I?"
Jackass.
This unwanted lump of orange gelatin has been given every opportunity to stand up and lead with compassion, reason, logic and courage. He's just a dumb, fake bully. As soon as someone stands up to him, he retreats into name calling and temper tantrums.
Dumbfuck. It's over for you. Take your damned ball and go the fuck home, already.

(309 posts)that the dotard in the Oval Office is a freak of nature. Something went horribly wrong when daddy's sperm hit mama's eggs. Out of the womb came nothing that resembled a normal functioning human being. He emerged as a whining, crying for attention little boy. Sad that he has never evolved. Get rid of him he's damaged goods and our lives depend upon voting him out. (I'm so angry!)

(25,290 posts)Unlike Trump - Pritzker is a real billionaire - not a fake one like Trump.
Resentment looms big here.

(30,779 posts)I saw it, completely by accident. I was trying to watch Jeopardy!
Someone challenged JB on his comments to trump. He said he challenged him because trump's rhetoric was contrary to Illinois' values.
We often laugh, in an embarrassed way, about all the Illinois governors who go to jail. What we forget are all the great statesmen and politicians who came from this state. Not all of them were Democrats, either.
We had Lincoln, Obama, Paul Simon, Carol Mosley Braun, Adlai Stephenson, the steady Durbin and heroic Duckworth. Ogilvie knew we needed a state income tax. He knew he would lose his governorship if it passed, but he did it anyway. We had Dirksen. We had Paul Douglas. There have been so many others I cannot name all of them. I did not necessarily agree with everything they did, but they had positive values and tried to live up to them.
I put JB in the same class as these people. He signed on to fix our state's credit mess, left by Rauner. He had a good budget plan. He is still trying to get a fair tax passed and to fix the pension mess. Now he will have a terrible budget shortfall, burned cities, racial unrest and thousands of deaths from a pandemic. He is not letting any of that stop him from being courageous, speaking up and doing a great job.
