Bush, Romney won't support Trump reelection

Source: The Hill

Former President George W. Bush and Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) will not support President Trump’s reelection, The New York Times reported Saturday.

Several Republican leaders are struggling with whether to endorse the sitting president in his reelection campaign, with some are considering endorsing or voting for presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden.

Recent events involving Trump’s response to the protests against police treatment of minority populations and the coronavirus pandemic have inspired an urgency among Republicans to decide whether to publicly discuss their voting plans for November, according to the Times.

They could make a real difference doing that, and by contributing a message to the Democratic Convention stating why other Republicans should do the same.

And in Bush's case, it would be a great opportunity to atone for some of his 2001-08 misdeeds.

If so, good on him.

Whatever else he did in the past, I'm sure it couldn't have been easy for a Republican to launch a SuperPac against Orange Amin.

We want to isolate Trump; he needs to feel that he's under siege. That's when he's most likely to do and say stupid things.

That's why it was smart of Jack Dorsey not to yank Orange Amin's Twitter from him.

Let him Tweet his presidency - and possibly his freedom - away.

Romney: A choker and a loser.

Bush: He ordered 9/11 to get himself re-elected - and still had to steal Ohio to do it!

He knows he's sun setting politically. That's never going to happen for him unless he'd have successfully run against Trump in a primary and won this term.

He's political toast but he's still willing to try and help take down Trump.

Trump is that bad.

If it was Sanders, I doubt mainstream Republicans like Romney or Bush would support them.
