Georgia secretary of state launches investigation after 'unacceptable' voting problems

Source: NBC

Hours-long waits, problems with new voting machines and a lack of available ballots plagued voters in majority minority counties in Georgia on Tuesday — conditions the secretary of state called "unacceptable" and vowed to investigate.

"This seems to be happening throughout Atlanta and perhaps throughout the county. People have been in line since before 7:00 am this morning," Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms tweeted shortly after polls were supposed to open — and in some cases still hadn't.

Cody Cutting was on a long line at Lang Carson Community Center in Reynoldstown, Atlanta, where the line snaked around the block and some had been waiting to cast their votes for four and a half hours.

"People are a bit frustrated but spirits are still okay. Neighbors are bringing around food, water, and chairs," he told NBC News. Similar issues and lengthy waits were reported in other parts of Fulton County, as well as DeKalb and Gwinnett counties.

The voting system is set up to fail as to discourage voters. Of course In those white areas of a Georgia those machines are working fine!

Either that, or Bill Gates has microchipped the poll workers to be his thralls.

Or maybe, George Soros has paid folk to pretend to wait in long lines.

of what is going to happen in November. They can't win fairly, so they're going to cheat their asses off. Congress should have been on this weeks ago, but they're busy with CV19 and unrest in the streets over police brutality against US citizens.

Please, register for absentee voting now.

Long lines and slow voting are visible problems that make the point that Republicans in charge mean government doesn't work and that they are deliberately trying to obstruct voting.

From the article linked in the OP:

Democrats have targeted Georgia — which has added 700,000 registered voters to the rolls since 2018 — as a possible swing state in November. Rachana Desai Martin, the national director of voter protection for Joe Biden, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, said that what happened Tuesday is "unacceptable" and noted that many voters reported asking for — and never receiving — absentee ballots.[/div]

Emphasis added.

Those reports didn't get much press until the debacle on Tuesday when the long lines brought to the front voting problems in Georgia.
