The pastor of an Atlanta megachurch on Tuesday apologized after facing widespread criticism over comments he made about "white privilege" and the history of slavery in the United States.
During a recorded conversation about race in America on Sunday, Passion City Church Pastor Louie Giglio said that the phrase "white privilege" sometimes ignited backlash and suggested that the words be altered to "white blessing." He also noted that white people understand that slavery was a curse, but added that "we miss the blessing of slavery, that it actually built up the framework for the world that white people live in.”
The comments were made during a discussion with Christian rapper Lecrae and Chick-fil-A CEO Dan Cathy amid a national reckoning over the police killing of George Floyd and racial injustice. By Tuesday, clips from the interview had spread across social media, with many denouncing the remarks as offensive.
Giglio released a video statement on Twitter in which he apologized for a "horrible choice of words" that "do not reflect my heart at all."

White privilege was a white blessing to white people. Can't get truer than that!

Megachurch pastor Louie Giglio has taken to social media to apologize for comments he made last weekend that have caused uproar.
The senior pastor at Passion City Church was recorded during an online church service stating that the term ‘white privilege’ should instead be changed to ‘white blessing’.
After the weeks America has just witnessed, Giglio, who is one of America’s most high profile pastors and conference speakers, was using his Sunday service to talk about racism and its dangers when he went close to the line on being racist himself.
According to Insider, Giglio was joined by Chick-fil-A CEO Dan Cathy and rapper Lecrae for an “open and honest conversation around how racism has plagued our city for generations, and the steps we can all take to confront it head-on in our church, our neighborhoods, and our hearts”.

Poor Pastor Louie. Clearly he is in agony, or something. By the way, why doesn't he get a new "Baaaaabul" instead of dragging around that beaten up one? Does he think it makes him look more humble?
A white pastor says being white is a "blessing", conferred by GAWD, in trying to legitimize being white as a "privilege"..., cause, you know, EVERYONE knows GAWD was white.
Is he not aware of the nationality of Jesus? White, he AIN'T. He may not have been ebony black, but he sure wasn't Aryan white. At best, he was "swarthy" (also known as darker, hot and hairy 
), which is not indicative of ANY Aryan. OK, there ARE HOT Aryans (hot, hairless (possibly shaven?), light skinned people). That is a different porn thread. 
But according to many renderings of the son of GAWD, he had BLUE eyes. (First, HOW DID THEY KNOW?)
Apparently Mary, mother of the son of GAWD, and a middle eastern, had the ultimate "wet dream" resulting in fertilization, with a blue eyed GAWD of an Aryan persuasion, begetting a "mulatto" offspring.
SCANDALOUS!!! (ALL explained by those 4 words, "GAWD works in mysterious ways", or yep, I pulled THAT one right out of my ass...)
