75-Year-Old NY Protester Fractured Skull in Cop Shove, Can't Walk: Lawyer
Source: NBC NY
A 75-year-old protester who struck his head on pavement after being shoved by police remained hospitalized Tuesday with a fractured skull, his attorney said.
Martin Gugino's lawyer has told media outlets in recent days that he had not yet been able to walk. Attorney Kelly Zarcone said in an email Tuesday there was no change in his condition and that she expects only gradual improvement.
...
President Donald Trump soon after claimed on Twitter, without evidence, that the elderly protester "could be an ANTIFA provocateur" involved in a possible setup. The president's tweet was widely criticized and the accusations were dismissed by Zarcone as "utterly baseless and ridiculous."
The bogus theory has its roots on an anonymous blog, NBC News reported.

(38,187 posts)What a piece of shit to shove an obviously peaceful protester who wasn't hurting anyone. I hate cops like that. I'm beginning to get ACAB.

(4,991 posts)I am happy to see that his attorney is not with Cellino and Barnes.
I just find it odd that he is being represented by an estate planning/tax/family law attorney

No doubt his attorney is the only one he knows or has ever used. If she's with a firm, she'll have good advice at hand.

(24,259 posts)they may cover elder abuse. I know NY has some pretty strict laws about this that.

(111,249 posts)He is going to need a lot of rehab in order to be able to walk again. From what I saw as he approached the thug cop, he was none too steady before his injury, making that cop's actions even more heinous.
The service of ordinary citizens with cell phones is incalculable. Cops got away with this garbage along with planted drugs, "kick possession" of a firearm, and wholesale battery of unarmed citizens for decades. The cop culture that encouraged them to lie for each other festered unnoticed.
Well, we've noticed. No amount of deflection and baseless accusations can overcome that.

I'm so thankful someone at least got it recorded. It's probably a miracle he didn't die on the spot.
Clearly he is extremely fragile.
Thank you, sabra. He needs all the help possible, and he needs a personal, face to face apology, with witnesses, so he can't threaten him, from the dragon who dared to shove a fragile old man, unarmed, at that.
