(38,206 posts)It is kinda hard for Trump to be a worthy adversary when he is such a useful idiot doing Putin's bidding.

(28,312 posts)Exactly what I'm thinking. Lapdogs are rarely a threat to their owners. Marionettes are rarely a threat to the puppeteer. And a ventriloquist's dummy? Even less so.

(12,921 posts)...walking away from a real estate deal is always an option, and you'd be no worse off than you were before. But there is no comparable option to simply decide not to trade with China, not to have any arms deal with Russia, etc. You MUST deal with them, you don't have the luxury of saying, "nah, this is too much trouble, let's move on to something else instead," of there being no serious consequences to NOT having a deal. You can't simply decide who you feel like dealing with and who you don't.

(20,210 posts)his attorneys are far more the "deal makers" than Trump himself. Trump might come up with the idea to purchase a piece of property, but his attorneys do all the negotiating and deal making. "The Donald" just signs his name on the contract, and if the attorneys didn't mark the lines where Trump was supposed to sign with an "X" he would have fucked that up as well.
