Biden Ahead Of Trump By 8 Points In Presidential Race

Source: Quinnipiac Polling Institute

If the election for president were being held today, former Vice President Joe Biden would receive 49 percent of the vote and President Donald Trump would receive 41 percent, according to a Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh- pea-ack) University national poll of registered voters released today. This compares to a May 20th national poll when Biden led Trump 50 - 39 percent. In today's poll, Democrats go to Biden 93 - 4 percent and independents are split with Biden at 43 percent and Trump at 40 percent, while Republicans go for Trump 92 - 7 percent. There are wide gaps among gender, race, and education groups:

Women back Biden 59 - 33 percent, while men back Trump 51 - 38 percent;
Black voters back Biden 82 - 9 percent, Hispanic voters back Biden 57 - 31 percent, and white voters back Trump 50 - 42 percent;
White voters with a college degree back Biden 57 - 35 percent, while white voters without a college degree back Trump 59 - 33 percent.

"The country gyrates uneasily through a killer virus, unrest in the streets, and volatile ugly divisiveness, but the presidential horserace looks now like it did back in February," said Quinnipiac University Polling Analyst Tim Malloy.

They are also one of the groups that benefits least from what pass as policies under Trump.

That's the demographic that is full of hate and have to scapegoat their problems and failures onto others.

there is the possibility that they are wrong now.

I guess I should have said:

Don't rest on your laurels. Keep working. Keep campaigning. Keep up the pressure.

Polls don't win elections, elections win elections.

Hillary won the popular vote by 2.1% which is in the margin of error of the polls that you cite.

She lost in the EC largely because of James Comey's announcement a few weeks before the election.

IT IS THE ELECTORIAL COLLEGE.

Our voting is just something to make us feel good that we are in control.
NOT.
There has been a movement to split the EC according to the R & D total votes of the state.
But Red state do not want that, the want a 51% all or nothing, keeping their power.

So GOTV needs to focus on the EC districts and make sure "2020 Vote Blue, no matter Who"

to steal another election. Why it's so close is beyond me. Either people aren't paying attention (although I don't understand how they can miss the dumbfuckery going on in the White House) or they want a fascist form of government in the U.S.

I just don't fucking get it.

WTF?

I wonder if white women will at least be less than 50% this time.

I don't get white people, and I'm one. So the majority of don't-call-me-a-racist white voters think he is doing a good job? Think he is acting Presidential? Just astounding. His numbers dip down below 40 once in a while when he does something really idiotic like that violently staged Bible photo op. But after a couple of news cycles they bounce right back.
No way we can ever count on enough Republican Never Trumpers to show up. It will be close, adding in the cheating.

That about sums it up.
