Dallas County officials stress wearing masks as hospitalizations again hit record high
Source: The Dallas Morning News
Dallas County reported 395 coronavirus cases Saturday and posted a record number of COVID-19 hospitalizations as county health officials continued to stress the importance of mask-wearing to combat rising infections.
The county also reported that two Dallas men in their 60s had died from the virus. One lived at a long-term care facility, and the other was critically ill in the hospital.
The county has recorded totals of 16,437 positive cases and 313 deaths. More than a third of deaths are associated with long-term care facilities. The county does not report a number of recoveries.
Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins said the data underscores the need for the order passed by county commissioners Friday, which requires businesses in the county to mandate that employees and customers to wear masks, with few exceptions.

We've only done 242 thousand tests though for several million people. I am sure our numbers would be way higher if we tested everyone.

I haven't been back there since January, but I saw a directive from Security that anyone NOT wearing a mask, until further notice, would be a walking reason for dismissal. We have almost no Trumpanzees in our organization (I don't know everyone, as we are 450 people or so in the Dallas office), but there are always a few singles who may have been in some bar, or whatever, who knows?
