Woman Berating Store Clerks Coughs on Cancer Patient in Viral Video

Cancer patient and mother of 10, Heather Sprague, posted a now-viral video on Facebook of a woman in a Jacksonville, Florida Pier 1 home furnishings store coughing on her after Sprague began recording the woman's behavior.

In a Facebook post that has since been shared over 11,000 times, Sprague said that she observed the woman's two unattended children wandering the store while Sprague killed some time waiting for a medical appointment.

She later realized the two children belonged to a woman standing at the register.

"[She] was becoming increasingly belligerent. She was screaming at, swearing, insulting, and threatening the staff as she demanded to return an item she didn't have with her, just a photo of the item on her phone," Sprague wrote.

8. I tried to do it recently

I bought a bag of garden soil at Lowe’s recently and when I opened it up there was some sort of white sticky mold all inside of it. It almost looked like dried latex paint. The bag weighed about 30-40 lbs. and now it was torn open. I didn’t want to put it in my car, so I took a picture of it. When I went to Lowe’s to get a new bag, I showed them the picture as well as my receipt.

It only cost about $4-5, so when the clerk said I couldn’t get my money back without bringing it in, I didn’t get upset, but tried to explain why I didnt really want to put it back in my car. I told her I didn’t agree with that policy, but decided just to leave it at that. After I finished buying a few more bags of the same soil, she offered to help me load it into my car, an I took her up on her offer and thanked her for her help by giving her a tip

but the pandemic has reinforced my belief that humans are stupid, murderous and inherently evil. Our worst traits can be somewhat overcome with a decent upbringing and education.

I just have to wonder....who raised this woman?

ALWAYS assume you are on camera, BECAUSE YOU ARE, and act in a manner that would not embarrass you. 'Cause the second you become an asshole you KNOW you are going to go viral, and NOT in a good way.

Before she left Town center on Thursday, Sprague had Pier 1 file an incident report with its corporate office.

She said the full report includes the angry customer’s name, but First Coast News has not heard back from Pier 1 and only has a copy of the first page of the incident report.

Sprague doesn’t plan on filing a police report with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, but is glad Pier 1 has it documented in case she does get sick.
