American Farm Bureau Federation President Zippy Duvall to miss White House dinner after COVID-19 diagnosis

The president of one of America’s most prominent agricultural lobby groups has tested positive for coronavirus.

American Farm Bureau President Vincent “Zippy” Duvall, who was expected to attend a White House dinner Wednesday for special guest Mexican president Andrés Manuel López Obrador, has had to cancel due to his recent diagnosis.

An agency spokeswoman confirmed Duvall’s condition.

“(Duvall) is feeling strong and in good spirits,” said agency spokeswoman Terri Moore, who also noted that he had attended several events in Georgia in an official capacity during the past two weeks.

The hosts of those events as well as other individuals Duvall came in proximity with have been notified of his status, according to reports.

Recently, Duvall had been working on his Georgia farm. He posted a July 5 Facebook video of himself working the land.
