Brazil press group files criminal complaint against president Bolsonaro for removing mask

RIO DE JANEIRO — The Brazilian Press Association on Thursday filed a criminal complaint to the Supreme Court against President Jair Bolsonaro, after he took off his mask in a televised interview in which he announced he had tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

Bolsonaro made his announcement on Tuesday. His illness is a potent symbol of his government’s botched response to the outbreak in Brazil, the second-worst in the world. More than 1.7 million people in Brazil have tested positive for coronavirus and nearly 68,000 have died.

Brazilian broadcasters pulled journalists off the job after they were exposed to Bolsonaro in the interview, quarantining them until they test negative for the disease.

In its complaint, the press association alleged that Bolsonaro had committed at least two crimes related to putting someone’s life or health at imminent risk and failing to prevent the spread of an infectious disease.

I feel so sorry for both us and Brazil where all my daughters' inlaws live. My daughter and SIL want MIL to come live with them, but she has a new grandbaby in Brazil, her only grandchild and its likely to remain that way, so that's probably not going to happen. I pray every day for both countries, that we can survive the murderous rw asses and get rid of them and start thriving again.

They seem mesmerized by figures that strut around bragging about themselves, and claiming they are the best, and everyone else is beneath them. And anyone who disagrees is on a witch hunt and unfairly target them because they irrationally hate them.

I don't know if its the sheer balls of these assclowns they worship, or what. A lot of Americans and Brazilians I guess, love to watch a man take, not ask. Even if it involves taking from them. They live vicariously through them, or rather their interpretation of them, a manly, take no prisoners, say whatever you want, authoritarian leader.
