Judge Orders DOJ to Explain Its Secret Portions of the Mueller Report by Next Week
Source: Law & Crime
A federal judge on Monday granted a Justice Department request to delay providing answers to questions about former Special Counsel Robert Muellers full, unredacted Russia report.
The judge, Reggie B. Walton, previously read the entire Mueller report and ordered the DOJ to answer a spreadsheet full of questions about the reports publicly hidden contents. Responses are now due next Tuesday, July 21, one week after the previous deadline.
The responses, if adequate, may render a scheduled hearing unnecessary in cases filed by the Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC) and Buzzfeed News, which seek to obtain the unredacted report in its entirety.
In a motion, the DOJ said that it sought additional time because answering the judges questions required consultations with numerous Department components, including the Office of Information Privacy, the National Security Division, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and U.S. Attorneys Offices.

(22,112 posts)the fully released Mueller report and instead they (barr and rump) buried their failures and complicity in committing crimes by redacting significant portions of the Mueller report. If crimes were committed by barr and or others in hiding this publicly paid for report (the taxpayers) they should be charged and tried.

(9,971 posts)At least until after the election. When Trump loses, he will most likely order that all government files be erased in a fit of vindictiveness. I sure hope there are career employees throughout federal agencies making backup copies of critical files before then. First to be erased will be any records of the Mueller Report and the grand jury testimony.

(10,155 posts)the judge can then grant another extension, using the old "we don't want to do anything that might affect the outcome of the election" excuse. Of course, that bullshit only applies to Republicans.
