Tucker Carlson Announces 'Long-Planned Vacation' After Addressing Racist Writer's Resignation

Fox News host Tucker Carlson addressed Monday night the resignation of his former top writer Blake Neff, who resigned late last week after CNN reported on his lengthy past history of pseudonymously posting racist and bigoted remarks on an online forum that openly trafficked in racist content. Carlson then announced he was taking a long-planned vacation.
It came across as a both-sides argument, in which he said that while what Neff wrote was wrong, those in the media should be careful with their self-righteousness.
First, what Blake wrote anonymously was wrong, Carlson said. We dont endorse those words. They have no connection to the show. It is wrong to attack people for qualities they cannot control. In this country, we judge people for what they do, not for how they were born.
We often say that because we mean it, he continued. We will continue to defend that principle, often alone among national news programs because it is essential, nothing is more important.

This is how it goes for Fox people - a "long planned vacation", never to return.

The Fox News host assured viewers that his trip was planned long ago, as he takes a vacation often around this time of year," in order to dispel any notion that it was a forced suspension."

(10,180 posts)him. They've (the right-wingers) all been crowing all summer about how he has the highest ratings, they've been singing his praises, on and on. He's probably just saying he's going on vacation but I bet what he's REALLY doing is getting ready to take over that Vice Presidential spot (from Pence)..... just like that elder statesman David Duke advised him to do....I don't know:

(36,925 posts)In fact, whenever some calls him racist he just laughs it off.
The really funny part is for a non-racist, he sure as shit has a lot of no-shit racists on the payroll.
Scott Greer, Jason Kessler, Peter Brimelow, and Ilana Mercer all wrote for Tucker at one time or another and all of which are unapologetic white nationalists.
So yeah, Tucker isnt a racist himself, he just likes things no-shit racists write enough to pay for it.

I am sure she will find him another job to keep him busy once he is thrown out of this one. Maybe he could find employment in the WH as speech writer to tRump? That pudgy face of his is SO punchable. That could apply to either of them, tRump or Fu - er - Tucker.
