GOP anti-Trump group urges Christian Republicans to 'resist being used'

Source: The Hill

A GOP group released a new ad Tuesday slamming President Trump and calling on Christian voters across the country to “resist being used to justify things that Jesus would never justify.”

“I grew up in the church. I attended a private, Christian high school. You look at a way someone lives their life, and you believe them,” a GOP voter identified as Tommy says in the ad from the coalition Republican Voters Against Trump.

The ad shows footage from an “Access Hollywood” tape that surfaced during the president’s 2016 presidential campaign in which Trump can be heard telling host Billy Bush that he could grab women by their genitals without consequence.

“When he used force to clear Lafayette Park and to stand in front of St. John’s, bludgeoned and gassed peaceful protesters for a ridiculous photo op. The moment that he held up that Bible, he revealed this president is using us. Christians have to resist being used to justify things that Jesus would never justify,” Republican voters say together in the ad.

his main support is from dittoheads who often pretend to be religious but are really in it because they've been listening to years of hating on democrats and live in an alternate reality whether they get it directly of through the parents or are mostly too busy or apathetic and get the general dominant talk radio buzz in the red states

it nmay sway some actual christians but no-trumpers would do better to get rid of limbaugh - discredit him and link him ot putin, for instance. or boycott rw radio advertisers etc. no one is more responsible for this disaster

The fact that iHeartRadio app is available for your phone and computer makes it even more pervasive.

The 24/7 barrage of hate and false narratives has completely brainwashed a great swath of people, from the intelligent to the ignorant, it crosses all bounds.

Hopefully some will wake up, but, like you, I believe that most are simply lost, that is, until such a time as their ideology is trampled in the dust and people are hauled to jail for believing in their bile. An ideology based on hatred should be illegal.

They are trying to follow the golden rule.

The majority of the hate in the world, however, IS wrapped in religion.
