Louisiana's Attorney General Jeff Landry (R) announced Tuesday morning that he had tested positive for the coronavirus and would as a result not meet Vice President Mike Pence when he arrives in the state later in the day.

The Louisiana Advocate reported that Landry emailed employees at the state Department of Justice informing them of his diagnosis, and explained that he was self-quarantining.

"Out of an overabundance of caution with the Vice President coming to our state, I was tested for Cornavirus," he wrote, according to the Advocate. "Though experiencing no symptoms, I tested positive for COVID-19."

Pence is in the state for a part of the day Tuesday to meet with Gov. John Bel Edwards (D) and other state officials about Louisiana's efforts to stop the spread of the coronavirus, as the rate of new cases has exploded in Louisiana and a number of other states across the country.

I thought it was a hoax, overblown, blah, blah, blah.

Why isn't he going to be there without a mask...

I have a headache, dearie.

My astrological signs are all out of whack, Pres. trumpski.

I'd really like to go to the huge evangelical swarm tonight but I have to fill out my absentee ballot (not for repuglicons!)

I wonder how many Democratic leaders (who practice all safety measures) are testing positive compared to how many GOP (who do not practice ANY safety measures) are testing positive?

A graph would be very telling and would probably go VIRAL.
