Game show host retweeted by Trump deletes his account after announcing his son has coronavirus

Source: The Hill

Former game show host Chuck Woolery announced Wednesday his son has tested positive for COVID-19, just days after Woolery accused medical professionals and Democrats of lying about the virus in an effort to hurt the economy and President Trump's reelection chances.

Woolery, who hosted several popular game shows including "Love Connection" and “Wheel of Fortune” and who is a staunch supporter of the president's, has since deleted his Twitter account following the announcement about his son.

“To further clarify and add perspective, Covid-19 is real and it is here. My son tested positive for the virus, and I feel for of those suffering and especially for those who have lost loved ones," Woolery tweeted before his account disappeared.

The message comes after Woolery tweeted Monday denouncing "outrageous lies" being told about the coronavirus, comments that Trump retweeted to his more than 83 million followers.

But it's just damning that people like Woolery only see the light when they and theirs become impacted.

In their minds those bad things we complain about never happen to them. Since they don't care about anyone else it has to hit them close to home before they have a problem with it. He was fine when the virus was hitting the poor and minorities and people he did not know.

Sorry to be insensitive; I wish his son nothing but the best and a speedy recovery. But Woolery has been a complete rightwing ass on Twitter and eliminated any nostalgic feel-goodness I had about growing up with him as the host of many game shows.

Do you mean that it's not God's will?
But, what about all the MAGATs who crowded beaches, bars, and especially anti-mask protests? They shrugged when asked -- then -- about the risk, and said in effect "his will be done."
Did they tell their next-of-kin to avoid wasting precious medical (and financial) resources on treatment? Did they not prepare for their days of reckoning? Or get their affairs in order, setting up living wills, advance directives, powers-of-attorney, make funeral and (c)remains arrangements?
Yeah, I didn't think so...

Make sure the payment is proportional to the number people who received the disinformation.

Use the fund to 1) pay the hospital bills for the COVID victims who were also victims of disinformation; 2) pay extra to the medical personnel who have to care for them.
