Chanting "Feds stay clear! The moms are here," dozens of women lined up to form a barrier between demonstrators and federal and local law enforcement officers in Portland on Friday (July 18).
Several participants in what is being referred to as the moms' protest said they were alarmed that federal law enforcement officers were being used to crack down on demonstrations in the city.
"This is beyond acceptable," one 60-year-old participant said, adding that the actions of federal agents was "terrifying."
Multiple videos posted online in recent days show camouflage-clad officers without clear identification badges using force and unmarked vehicles to transport arrested protesters.
The use of federal agents is part of the Trump administration's new executive order to protect U.S. monuments. ................................................

I am a 49 year old mother with a Masters in Education and I just got gassed by my own government. We were peaceful. I think I stood in the middle of the gas for longer than i should have... #wallofmoms #PortlandMoms #PortlandProtest #Teargas #BLM

because I just couldnt comprehend that the smoke in the air and those canisters rolling on the ground toward my feet were tear gas. My government wouldnt take away my right to protest. My government would not attack a group of loud chanting moms with tear gas...I was wrong.

It was painful. My eyes burned, my skin burned, it was hard to breathe from the pain in my throat and chest. A stranger took pity on me and gave me his pair of ski goggles. That helped my eyes a little but not completely. I cant believe I now live in a nation ...

Also seeing some of these women wearing helmets. Wondering if they biked to the site, or trying to protect themselves from getting their heads bashed in.
The helmets were probably serving both purposes. This will be a thing for a spell since the stupid militia decided to beat up a bunch of moms and gas them.
