FBI agents deployed to Ohio House Speaker Larry Householder's farm: Report

Source: Cleveland Plain Dealer

COLUMBUS, Ohio—FBI agents and police were at Ohio House Speaker Larry Householder’s farm in Perry County early Tuesday morning ahead of an announcement about a $60 million federal racketeering case, according to a media report.

The FBI agents, who were assisted by the Perry County Sheriff’s Department, were on Householder’s property in Glenford, the Dayton Daily News reported.

The news comes as the FBI and U.S. Attorney David M. DeVillers called a news conference at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday to announce charges related to $60 million bribe to a “state official” and “associates.”

...snip...

It’s not the first time Householder has been accused of wrongdoing. In 2004, during Householder’s first stint as speaker, the FBI opened an investigation into Householder after receiving an anonymous tip that the speaker and aides received kickbacks from vendors doing business with the Ohio House GOP’s campaign arm. That investigation closed in 2006 without any charges being filed.

That guy is rotten, moldy and festering to the core!

• He backed Trump in 2016.
• Last year did a photo op with Pence.
• Of late, he's being investigated by the Irish government, the US Securities and Exchange Commission and the FBI for a loan deal in Ireland, which involved a group for which he sits on as chairman (for a "very serious" misuse of the vice president's office).
I knew there was a reason I hated that "potato" head.

Republicans are just plain terrible people to the core—their whole lives, and Quayle is a prime example.

SHEESH he was a stupid fuck.

I remember when Bush1 announced his choice of Ding-Dong Dan. He made a comment about it being “one for the ladies” because Quayle was considered very handsome. I remember being really pissed off by that. “You think that’s all women care about, dude? That he LOOKS good??? You think you can just toss us a “himbo” and that’s all we’ll need? Is that all Barbara ever cared about? You’re pretty stupid, too, then.”

Barr must not have known about this case or he would have stopped it. Only Democrats get prosecuted on his watch. US Attorney DeVillers may find himself out of a job shortly for prosecuting a Republican, although perhaps state-level ones aren’t of interest to Barr. Maybe he’s too busy trying to figure out how to silence Ghislane Maxwell. Or he’s too busy coming up with excuses for subverting the Constitution to justify Trump’s creation of a national secret police force. Barr must be a very busy man these days!

Ohio House Speaker Larry Householder arrested in $60 million bribery case

Federal officials arrested Ohio House Speaker Larry Householder and four others on Tuesday morning in connection with a $60 million bribery case.

U.S. Attorney David DeVillers' office would not discuss details of the case, but a source involved in the investigation confirmed Householder's arrest to The Enquirer.

Also arrested, according to the source: Neil Clark, founder of Grant Street Consultants and once called by USA Today “one of the best-connected lobbyists in Columbus;” former Ohio Republican Party chair and consultant Matthew Borges; Juan Cespedes, co-founder of The Oxley Group in Columbus; and Jeffrey Longstreth, adviser to Householder.

A spokeswoman for DeVillers said an Ohio official and associates were charged in the case, which she described as a "public corruption racketeering conspiracy involving $60 million." DeVillers has scheduled a 2:30 p.m. press conference to discuss the case.

24. Interesting that Borges, who is one of those arrested with Householder, just formed a PAC for Biden
Tue Jul 21, 2020, 12:16 PM
Jul 2020

This is a huge issue for Ohio and the country, Ohio's democratic system has been broken by the GOP. There are not fair elections in Ohio, but the national media ignores all the corruption in flyover country.

Borges just announced he was creating a PAC to support VP Biden instead of Trump. There had been a falling out with Borges and the Trump people in Ohio. What is strange is that there is no bigger Trump supporter than Householder. Householder has caused massive problems for DeWine's coronavirus responses here in Ohio. Householder loudly supported the no mask demonstrators, He was disgusting in going after Dr. Acton, using anti-semitic coded language and telling legislators to grow a pair to stand up to that woman.

Investigating the corruption of the GOP in Ohio could win a Pulitzer for an enterprising journalist. They would need a good bodyguard. though.

Look like someone called in some favors from the DOJ.

Here is the link to the story about Borges' anti-Trump PAC.

We've barely just begun exposing all the grifters, grafters and RICO's.
