Nobody wears flannel this time of year unless they're hiding body armor. A trump trooper.

to start some shit. This is all about the election and making paranoid rural conservatives think Democrats are destroying cities in anarchy and chaos. There have been lots of memes online about rural people shooting rioters, running them over with trucks, feeding them to pigs, etc. Because they like fantasies with very low probability of occurrence.

since my city was on the "list". Our mayor Jim Kenney, continually struggles to hold his tongue from doing an outright expletive-filled anti-45 rant, although he has gotten close a few times.

to bring out the goon squad. Best everyone stays home and disband these protests till after the general election. We don't want to give them any more reason to hurt people and have these unlawful occupy our cities as a cover to steal the election come November.

What were they doing in that part of town at that time of night?

Why didn't the vehicles fight back?

See post 15, below.

Police believe the vehicles were stoned on carburetor cleaner and therefore offered no resistance.

anybody. Somebody provoking reaction, BLM protester, kid thinking it's cool to burn police cars like the protesters did a month ago... I'm sure they'll get him or her. At least one of the cars was on a major street lined with busy businesses. They've all got to have cameras rolling.

Snip.....
On North 39th Street, authorities said they determined the cruiser was set on fire with a Molotov cocktail placed on the hood of the driver’s side.

In the later incidents, police said they identified a suspect using University of Pennsylvania Police security cameras. In surveillance footage, a man wearing a flannel shirt and a backpack was seen leaving the area on a white Cannondale bike, authorities said.

It was unclear whether police considered him a suspect in all four incidents or just the two in West Philadelphia.
