White House trade adviser Peter Navarro on Monday refused to extinguish his bitter feud with Dr. Anthony Fauci, mocking the nations top infectious disease expert for missing home plate with his ceremonial first pitch on Major League Baseballs Opening Day.
The remarks from Navarro, who is assisting with the administrations coronavirus vaccine development efforts and coordination of the supply chain for personal protective equipment, came in an interview with Fox & Friends, when he was asked whether he regretted authoring an explosive op-ed two weeks ago attacking Faucis medical expertise.
You know, the only thing I regret is Dr. Faucis pitch the other day at Opening Day. I felt bad for him, Navarro said. But I always look forward, and were all part of the team. And he actually tells people to wear the masks, and my job is to get them made.
Navarro also revealed he had not spoken with the doctor since USA Today published his column, titled Anthony Fauci has been wrong about everything I have interacted with him on.

Navarro is 8 years younger than Fauci, I'd like to see how he would have done. Even better, put them on a wrestling mat together.

And what's with the teeth! Is he channeling Mister Ed?

(76,667 posts)...(junior high) I played on the baseball team. My reputation was "fast, good glove, great arm, not much of a hitter."
The coaches thought I had a great arm, mind you.
Did I ever throw the ball and have it go nowhere near where I wanted it? Of course I did. Everybody does, no matter their talents, ability or age.
It just happens sometimes.
Most people don't have it happen on international TV, though!
Making fun a Fauci because of a bad throw, which everyone who's ever thrown ANYTHING has done, is low rent.
Navarro is a punk!

(13,290 posts)Let's compare Dr. Fauci's accomplishments to Navarro's. When we're done laughing, let's get back to the science of the coronavirus and get this thing fixed.
