Mayors Want US Agents Blocked From Portland, Other Cities

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) The mayors of Portland, Oregon, and five other major U.S. cities appealed Monday to Congress to make it illegal for the federal government to deploy militarized agents to cities that dont want them.
This administrations egregious use of federal force on cities over the objections of local authorities should never happen, the mayors of Portland; Seattle; Chicago; Kansas City; Albuquerque, New Mexico; and Washington wrote to leaders of the U.S. House and Senate.
Video from early Tuesday showed law enforcement officers filling a street with gas to disperse protesters. Several loud booms could be heard.

trump's troops are stirring up violence, as another campaign ploy--look how tough I am. Smart of these mayors to engage Congress.

(2,146 posts)Don't let them enter the city don't let them rent vehicles, don't let them rent hotel rooms, don't let them do anything without proper ID. If they have no papers that proves they are trained federal law enforcement officers, then arrest them for impersonation. Even the prison guards. If they are traveling in vehicles, confiscate the vehicle for suspected use in the commission of a crime. Make them show they are authorized to operate outside of federal property and if they have nothing to prove that then confine them physically to federal property.
Quit litigating this crap. Come down hard first then litigate later.

(2,146 posts)the ones causing the destruction have been proven to be white supremacists - that's what happened in Richmond. It's not the protesters, its the instigators and the infiltrators who are destroying property. Where was it - Minneapolis? - where a white guy dressed in black was caught breaking windows with a hammer. At the same time in protests in other cities the same dressed guy was caught doing the same thing. The window breaker scurried of real quick when he saw he was being recorded.
