Biden campaign puts VP team in place ahead of announcement

Source: NBC

WILMINGTON, Del. — With Joe Biden’s long-awaited decision on a running mate set to be revealed this week, his campaign has assembled a veteran roster of strategists to help navigate the crucible of a fall campaign.

The team includes a pair of trusted Biden veterans who played key roles during his time in the White House and are familiar with the value and potential pitfalls of being a supporting player on the presidential ticket.

Liz Allen, most recently a managing director at the Glover Park Group consulting firm, will be the running mate’s communications director. Allen served as a Biden spokesperson in the White House and later Deputy White House Communications Director as President Barack Obama found increasingly creative ways to promote his second-term initiatives.

Sheila Nix, who served as the chief of staff to Biden on the 2012 Obama reelection campaign and then joined Biden's team in the White House as chief of staff to second lady Jill Biden, will be a senior adviser to the running mate and her spouse. She comes to the running mate’s team from Tusk Strategies, where she focused on voter turnout initiatives.

They have had 4 years of screwing things up. Surely (in their minds) that counts for SOMETHING? Imagine, we will have ADULTS in the WH and in the administration's leading jobs. Experienced, intelligent, competent grown ups. It will take all the smart people we can possibly get, to straighten out the ungodly mess this fiasco of a tRump will leave behind. I imagine the so-called "Press Corps" will have to start asking REAL questions of these adults, too. No more idiotic pablum just to make it sound as though we have a REAL president. I am SO SICK of this entire tRump con job, I can not wait until next January to see the bastard GONE. All the unethical members of his protectors, too.

Wish it would be Warren, but I will be happy as long as the individual can bring strength and honesty back to the White House!
