Biden promises National Guard members he'll never use them as 'prop'

Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden vowed to members of the National Guard he’ll never exploit them for political purposes, his latest effort to draw a contrast between himself and President Trump.
“I promise you, as president, I’ll never put you in the middle of politics or personal vendettas,” Biden said Saturday from his Wilmington, Del., home. “I’ll never use the military as a prop or as a private militia to violate rights of fellow citizens. That’s not law and order. You don’t deserve that.”
He was addressing a virtual meeting of the National Guard Association of America.
Alluding to the deployment of National Guard forces during recent unrest in Kenosha, Wis., Biden said: “You’ve been called out to help keep the peace as the country continues to struggle and overcome our racial justice crisis.”

This is incredibly radical, the idea of not using taxpayer resources for private political benefit.

Why do we have to have these conversations? 
...of not using the assets of the federal government for his own personal political benefit. I think a lot of Republicans would find this concept scary. You can see why Democrats might lose the surburban vote with this idea of integrity in government.
