Gov. Tony Evers asks President Trump not to visit Kenosha

KENOSHA, Wis. —

Gov. Tony Evers sent a letter to President Donald Trump asking him not to visit Kenosha.

The letter was sent Sunday to the White House.

In it, Evers asked the president to reconsider his decision to visit.

"These past few months, from managing a pandemic to facing entrenched racial disparities and inequities, our state -- like so many others -- has faced unimaginable challenges," Evers wrote. "But this past week has been particularly difficult. Kenosha and communities across Wisconsin are enduring extraordinary grief, grappling with a Black man being shot seven times and the loss of two additional lives on Tuesday night at the hands of an out-of-state armed militant."

Pool reports Saturday night indicated Trump planned to visit Tuesday.

Our sons, now 30 and just shy of 28, both attended Carthage College in Kenosha. Gorgeous setting right on Lake Michigan. We have hours of fond memories of watching them compete together on the soccer team for 2 seasons, and going to local restaurants/ grocery stores like La Fogata, Captain Mike’s and Tenuta’s afterwards.

This is all so sad.

14. Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD) is usually a disorder that children outgrow..

..early on I heard this pathology in reference to odious#45 ..when you consider his behavior --something is definitely off-- that or he's just an a$$hle. So, now since WI Gov has politely asked him not to come--he'll go just to show everyone he's in charge; buck authority which is a characteristic of ODD.

17. Two weeks ago tomorrow Trump blew through Minnesota

making stops in Minneapolis and Mankato.

Gov. Tim Walz said he spent the weekend before this visit trying to convince Trump's people that Trump making a stop at the George Floyd memorial was a really bad idea. Trump did not visit it & denies he ever asked this. Walz has no reason to make it up & he's just not that kind of guy.

I'm surprised that while in Mankato, Trump didn't decide he wanted to visit the site where 38 Dakota men were hanged...and not out of respect for them.
