Trump slams Romney: He 'couldn't be elected dog catcher right now in Utah'

Source: The Hill

President Trump took a swipe at Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) during a campaign event in Latrobe, Pa., on Thursday, saying the lawmaker “couldn't be elected dog catcher right now in Utah.”

"Utah, the home of our worst senator.. that's Mitt Romney,” Trump told a crowd of mostly maskless supporters. "Romney couldn't be elected dog catcher right now in Utah."

Romney, whose term expires in 2025, won the 2019 primary and general election in Utah by a comfortable margin.

Trump has attacked Romney in the past after the Utah senator voted to convict Trump on one charge during his impeachment trial earlier this year. Romney was the only Republican senator to do so.

The article only broke late this afternoon, I can't wait to see how that plays in the next few days.

....Romney's wife and Michelle Obama announced a joint GOTV effort. That could be seen as a subtle "endorsement" of Biden.

Plus, with all the crap trump has been spewing the last few days, plus the damaging article in The Atlantic w/respect to those who served and died or were maimed in battle, it wouldn't surprise me if he changed his mind. That "no endorsement" proclamation was made a year ago, and a lot has happened since then..

Utah is a red state, Romney has a better reputation for integrity than most R’s these days, and even if (God deliver us from)), Donnie got a second term, his political influence would be circling the bottom of the toilet bowl.

My question is, where are the other Repubican Senators like Romney, who were elected in 2018 and won't have to face voters again until 2024, when Trump will be out of the picture. Trump can't hurt them politically right now, and won't have as much influence in 2024.

Republicans in Utah aren't that fond of Trump, really. The Mormons don't like the womanizing and the gambling and the lying. I doubt that Biden can win Utah, but wouldn't that be delicious??

My state's junior Senator, Ted Cruz, is in a position to tell Donnie to get stuffed, anoint himself with holy oil, and all too likely waft off to re-election in 2024. But will he?

Nah. Ted is not only running for re-election but also for President in 2024.

Donald Trump will lose every state and then some more....But we will all see in about 60 days. Is that all Trump has to do? Take swipes at political opponents?

Trump is such a "lowlife" that he would never be accepted into the....."Lowlife Association of America" which I am a member of. The membership recently took a vote as to whether or not we would accept Donald Trump into the Association.....and if you have got this far, I would like to "Thank YOU" and make you an honorary member of our ....Lowlife Association......................

As you can see, I have totally lost what was left in my brain...but I am still smarter than Donald Trump...

thank you......and thank you...

Because Mitt and Ann have a hellavalot more money than him.

I think Ann Romney irks him more because he thinks women are so beneath him. Ann, alone, could buy him a ticket to obscurity and back multiple times. Michelle Obama would be wasting her time attempting to teach him humility. Something she has in abundance and he couldn’t begin to comprehend.

Yet there the two of them are. Hosting a special television event for “Get Out the Vote!”

It is his own personal nightmare.

Women in power......ewwww!
