Trump campaign raises hefty $210 million in August, but it's well short of Biden's record haul

Source: CNBC

Donald Trump's reelection campaign and its joint Republican committees raised $210 million in August, a monthly record for Trump but far short of the $364 million raised by Trump's opponent, former Vice President Joe Biden during the same period.

"The Trump campaign will have all the resources we need to spread the message of President Trump's incredible record of achievement, on the ground and on the air," said Trump's campaign manager Bill Stepien in a statement on the August numbers.

Trump and his joint committees with the Republican Party have outraised Biden in every month but one since the former vice president became the nominee. Biden's recent success came the same month he selected Sen. Kamala Harris as his running mate and accepted his party's nomination at the Democratic National Convention.

Biden is ahead of Trump in the race by seven points, according to a Real Clear Politics national polling average.

Does that mean they just want to loot the
campaign fund instead of spending it on
ads and rallies... knowing they are going
to lose?

Hmm???

They didn’t have the money to keep spending like they’ve been spending, but they have money.

The gop members running were complaining months ago that they weren't getting any resources from the national gop. Most if not all of the money the gop has raised has been directed to the trump campaign.

And they have grifted it, and mispent it, and generally thrown it away wrt to actual effective campaign spending.

No reason to think that will change.

Good.
