Iran says Bahrain normalizing ties with Israel 'shameful'
By Reuters Staff
(Reuters) - Iran said on Saturday that Bahrains move to normalize relations with Israel meant it would be complicit in Israeli policies which threatened regional security, Iranian state TV reported.
Bahrains agreement, which was announced by U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday, was partly forged because of shared wariness of Iran.
Irans foreign ministry said that it would hold the governments of Bahrain and its allies responsible for any insecurity caused by Israel in the Gulf region.

As for the US intervening in the Middle East? Read Bacevichs Americas War for the Greater Middle East.

(6,395 posts)Fighting over a piece of worthless real estate. Jerusalem was a nothing, rest area/pit stop for traders for the only reason, it had a water source for themselves and camels. It only became important for a couple of reasons, it allowed King David to keep an eye on King Saul's old capital and supporters, he always had a tenuous claim to the crown. And two, the Temple was built there and it also became the central bank...making it a very tempting target to invaders. Shining city on a hill, my ass.
There is no resource value to the place. Then it became a "holy place", despite you can't step anywhere in that city where blood has been shed. Disgusting. Jerusalem is nothing more than an idol, which ironically, three religions all say they abhor.
I'm obviously a religious person, but I have no desire to see that pile of worthless rubble that people have to be hospitalized for a mental condition once they visit. I'd rather see the great pyramids than see genetic cousins continue to kill each other. Let them die for their idol.
Sorry, just out of fucks to give.
