Newcomer Witzke wins GOP US Senate primary in Delaware

Source: AP

By RANDALL CHASE

DOVER, Del. (AP) — Political newcomer and firebrand Lauren Witzke, who campaigned on halting U.S. immigration for 10 years and has tried to distance herself from accusations that she supports a far-right conspiracy theory, won the Republican U.S. Senate primary in Delaware on Tuesday, defeating the party’s endorsed candidate.

In November, Witzke will challenge incumbent Sen. Chris Coons, who easily won the Democratic primary.

In other races Tuesday, Democratic Gov. John Carney won his primary, while a political newcomer won the GOP gubernatorial primary over five other contenders. An actor and retired Amtrak conductor defeated another newcomer to win the GOP primary for Delaware’s lone U.S. House seat, which is currently held by a Democrat.

Witzke, who worked as an Iowa field operator for Donald Trump last year, defeated attorney James DeMartino, a former Marine who has twice run unsuccessfully for the legislative seat held by Delaware’s Democratic state House speaker.

They couldn't see past her "Fox entertainment blond" looks. Her opponent looks more like Biden. She was probably brought to fruition by the Christine O'Donnell "I am not a witch" crowd.

in other words, so the voters will believe ANYTHING!

They do it in sacrificial states where they will lose, most often. Kooks in competitive races move to the middle. Others are free to roam.

They play mass mind control with waves of kooky ideas, fears, greed, economic anxiety all against a stable reality - the Democratic middle. If they can keep public opinion moving, they can move it and change it. Their worst scenario is a reality-based rigid minded voter who has already decided, which is what they're up against this year. They will keep pushing the KOOK buttons until election day hoping to get public opinion unstable and moveable toward them again.

Meaning their only hope is to DESTABLIZE voters by casting doubts about Biden. It's going to get nasty. The Biden campaign needs to respond very quickly and forcefully against all of it.

At least that is what I make of it.

Why do you think you have 2 (D) "moderates" from there in the Senate (Coons and Carper)?

Biden, who was/is also a moderate, had replaced a Republican (Boggs) back in '73 and Carper had replaced a Republican (Roth) in 2001. They have been party swapping governors since the '40s until the recent couple terms.

They only have 3 counties and because the one with the largest population (New Castle, that includes Wilmington) is signicantly blue, it tends to offset the other 2 counties (Kent and Sussex), which are almost evenly split.

Article from 2016 that sortof explains the dynamics in there (which is sortof like a small-scale of PA, where the deep blue areas in PA have the largest populations and usually or often offset the broad swaths of red across the rest of the state) - https://delawarestatenews.net/government/a-mostly-true-blue-tale-of-delaware-politics/

Witzke is a QAnon tRumper and according to her own website, a recovered addict who "Ironically, she found herself hopelessly addicted as well, and even worked for drug cartel families and illicit organized crime gangs from Detroit. "

With her victory still just hours old, the newest Republican Senate nominee publicly thanked a white nationalist leader who marched in the “Unite the Right” rally and has questioned the number of Jews killed in the Holocaust.

It’s not just Fuentes with whom Witzke communicates. She also is regularly in contact with anti-Semitic and white nationalist figures in the “America First” faction of the pro-Trump right. Witzke has posted racist messages of her own on social media, calling Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and Ilhan Omar (D-MN) “third world” and “tards.”
...
In interviews she’s given to other media outlets and podcasts, Witzke has claimed to have worked for Mexican drug cartels or “cartel families” as a “low-end drug-runner” or drug dealer transporting drugs between Detroit and Tennessee.
...
But Witzke’s interest in conspiracy theories doesn’t stop with QAnon, judging by her Pinterest account. Amid ideas for clothes and interior design, Witzke has tagged images purporting to explain the structures of the Illuminati, promoting various 9/11 conspiracy theories, claiming that the Sandy Hook shooting was staged, and even one, illustrated with Israeli flags, suggesting that the Jewish Rothschild family had advance warning of 9/11.
