Sanders: "This is an election between Donald Trump and democracy"
Source: Axios
In an urgent appeal on Thursday, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) said President Trump presented "unique threats to our democracy" and detailed a plan to ensure the election results will be honored and that voters can cast their ballots safely.
Driving the news: When asked yesterday whether he would commit to a peaceful transfer of power if he loses, Trump would not, and said: "We're going to have to see what happens."
What they're saying: "It is terribly important that we listen to and take seriously what Donald Trump is saying," Sanders said in remarks at George Washington University in D.C.
"Let me make this clear to Donald Trump: Too many people have fought and died to defend American democracy and you are not going to destroy it."

(8,276 posts)What Joe Biden represents at this point is democracy. He really is our last hope at this point.
Also I imagine he is trying to win over his former POS supporters who still so far refuse refuse to vote for Biden.

(44,962 posts)talking about the importance of this election with others like Julian Casto to get the Latino vote, having virtual town halls and stuff like that.
I suggest you write him about your concerns if you are that bothered by it.

(30,712 posts)Obama is not in office, but he is not tearing around on his own. He is working with the team.
Bernie missed some votes today and gave a speech instead.
Bernie is doing great things. He is supporting Biden and going hard after Trump...and it's completely not partisan. This really helps to not only reinforce that the far left needs to vote for Biden but also that everyone needs to support democracy...and lists specific things we can do on top of it.
