Trump to sign executive orders protecting preexisting conditions and seeking a way to prevent ....

Source: CNBC

President Donald Trump will sign a series of executive orders aimed at protecting people with preexisting conditions and look for a way to prevent surprise medical bills, senior administration officials said Thursday.

Trump discussed the executive orders, which are part of his “America First” health-care plan, during his visit to Charlotte, North Carolina later in the day.

Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar told reporters on a conference call that one of the orders would declare it the policy of the United States to “provide protections to ensure that Americans with preexisting conditions are protected regardless of whether the Affordable Care Act is unconstitutional and its protections for preexisting conditions invalidated.”

“The president is also taking action to protect surprise billing, a source of financial insecurity for all Americans who do have insurance that has gone unaddressed for two years now,” he said.

On Thursday, Kaiser Family Foundation health policy vice president Larry Levitt tore into President Donald Trump’s new executive order supposedly protecting coverage for pre-existing conditions.

Hat tip, bkmn - RTMFA, at Joe.My.God.

Pres Trump: I am signing the first-ever executive order to affirm that it is the "official policy of the United States Government to protect patients with pre-existing conditions."

Fact: The Affordable Care Act signed by Pres Obama made covering pre-existing conditions U.S. law.

Then he can claim these Mickey Mouse Executive Orders will protect citizens - which they won’t because the EOs only cover government agencies and do not have the force of law.

But if RGB is replaced by Judge Amy "Crazy Eyes" Barrett, all the Exec Orders in the world won't resurrect the protections of the ACA once the conservatives on SCOTUS kill it.

There are more of us than them. We've got the votes needed to evict him from the WH.

What matters from now until Nov 3 is our vote and our work to help and encourage others to vote. After that, we'll take each day as it's presented. We just need to vote as one mass of Americans who won't watch freedom die.
At this point there are plenty of R's voting with us. They don't want to switch parties, they just want their party back. I'm okay with that. They're not voting due to partisanship. They're voting for what America stands for. I welcome each and every one of them.

He will be voted out. From then on, whatever comes.. Whatever Comes, will be no match for us.

Here in AZ, McSally claimed that Kelly was an adviser with an air transport service. A patient had a stroke and was moribund. The family wanted him back in Arizona and contacted the air ambulance service. They asked if the insurance company would cover the costs and was told to check with the insurance company. Time was of the essence and the family authorized the RT flight. The bill was a whopper! They were surprised at the cost.

Since medical billing systems aren’t government agencies they can tell him to fuck off as they send you a rejection notice or an economically devastating bill.

This is being done to “cushion the blow” when the Supreme Court rules the ACA unconstitutional. That is until the medical bills and rejection notices start showing up your mailbox.

If Trump wants to play this stupid ass game to try and win the election then the House should quickly draft a bill stating that ALL Insurance Companies offering health insurance MUST provided pre-existing coverage starting Oct 1st.

Then send it to McConnell and watch him and Republicans REFUSE to pass it.
