Dietrich said he didnt threaten police and he went willingly under Floridas Baker Act, which allows police to detain a person who is potentially a threat to himself or others. He was taken to a hospital, she said.
His wife contacted police, worried that he was suicidal and had firearms.

(626 posts)Parscale is entwined enough in the Trump Crime Family that the NY Times story may be a stepping stone to something incriminating against Parscale. This story breaking hours before the NY Times story does not seem coincidental.

(13,325 posts)He is on. I wouldn't be able to stop myself from letting him have it. Pretend the Russians are coming to take him away ,or leaving little "gifts" like a razorblade,a long shoelace..etc. Standing by the door saying, die you bastard in a creepy voice as he tries to sleep. Tossing him a tissue box as he cries with used snotty Kleenex in it.

(16,889 posts)Parscale is NOT some dysfunctional person in need of our sympathy for a mental health episode. Hes fearing something. Something big enough to make him consider ending his life. What he is fearing is of his own making.
He is in a safe place and receiving care. That is as it should be. But lets NOT conflate him with legitimately suicidal people thinking of ending their lives because of something out of their control. Parscale brought whatever his issue is on himself because of greed and a need for power, or else he would not have agreed to work for Trump.

(8,103 posts)Now he's someplace SAFE. Not necessarily really suicidal.
I think, nowadays, you have to think twice before calling the cops to help you. Especially if you have someone tell the police that you are armed. Suicide by cop that didn't work?

ETTD.
Hat tip, Betty Bowers. The first reply to her tweet is one of laughter, but as someone who has contemplated suicide in the past, I am not laughing.
Nothing ever good happens to Trump's former campaign managers.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. Former campaign manager for Donald Trump, Brad Parscale, who was replaced by the President less than four months until Novembers vote was reportedly armed with a gun and threatening to harm himself at his Fort Lauderdale home on Sunday afternoon.
Police have not confirmed that the barricaded man was Parscale, who worked for Trump, but records confirm that the property in the 2300 block of Desota Drive in Fort Lauderdale is owned by Parscale, 44, and his wife, Candice. Local 10 spoke to neighbors in the Seven Isles neighborhood who also said it was the former advisor to the President.
Fort Lauderdale Police responded to a home in reference to an armed male attempting suicide Sunday afternoon. When officers arrived on the scene, they made contact with the wife of the man who told them her husband was armed, had access to multiple firearms inside the house and was threatening to harm himself. She had placed the 911 call, according to police.
Fort Lauderdale Police said that the armed subject was transported to Broward Health Medical Center where he was placed under a Baker Act. ... Police determined no one else was in the home.

Advice to Parscale:
Avoid upper floors.
Stay away from windows.
Do not have a cup of tea.
Move out of the way of anyone headed in your direction on the sidewalk with an umbrella.
