Tennessee Titans, Minnesota Vikings close facilities after Titans players test positive for COVID-19

Source: ESPN

The Tennessee Titans have closed their facilities until Saturday after three players and five team personnel members tested positive for COVID-19, the NFL announced Tuesday.

The eight new positive tests have been confirmed after additional testing, a source told ESPN's Kevin Seifert.

The Titans, citing an "abundance of caution," issued a statement saying they've halted in-person work Tuesday. The Minnesota Vikings, who played the Titans on Sunday, did the same, though a source told ESPN's Chris Mortensen there were no positive tests with the Vikings.

"Out of the abundance of caution, the organization has decided to work remotely today as we follow NFL protocols related to the COVID-19 virus," the team statement said. "Several tests have come back positive and are working through the process of confirming them."

In what could be the NFL's first significant in-season test of its coronavirus protocols, the Tennessee Titans announced Tuesday they would not be holding in-person activities after the team had eight total positive COVID-19 tests — three from players, five from staff —in the aftermath of Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings.

"Out of the abundance of caution, the organization has decided to work remotely today as we follow NFL protocols related to the COVID-19 virus," the team said in a statement. "Several tests have come back positive and [we] are working through the process of confirming them. We will have more information tomorrow."

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said in a statement the positive tests came back Tuesday morning. The Vikings also are suspending team activities as both clubs follow the league's protocols on COVID-19.

Notre Dame announces 18 positive COVID-19 tests, 25 players in isolation after latest outbreak

Notre Dame sent more players into isolation after the program had suspended all football activities due to a COVID-19 outbreak.

The Irish announced on Monday that 18 players had tested positive in its latest round of coronavirus testing — which were conducted between Tuesday and Saturday.

Seven of those 18 players were already in quarantine after being “previously identified close contacts.” The program now has 25 total players in isolation and another 14 in quarantine related to contact tracing.

I don’t think anyone on the Steelers is currently COVID positive.

The NFL Billionaire Boy's Club never believed Covid-19 was a real threat, never wanted to limit spectators in the first place, can't stand Democrats, and only went along with #BlackLivesMatter this year because they couldn't field a team without black players. They only took action in recent years against players involved in domestic abuse because of public pressure, meanwhile turned a blind eye to their brother pedo-Kraft because he's able to hire an army of high-dollar lawyers who made scrambled eggs of the case against him (tossed on a technicality, not on the substance of the charges against him).

I love NFL football, but I really, really, really fucking hate the business of it.

I predict the NFL won't make it through half a season before shutting down altogether. I seriously hope I'm wrong.
