In new daily cases per capita, 7 day moving average (rankings are of U.S. states, #1 is highest, i.e. worst):
#1 North Dakota
#2 South Dakota
#3 Wisconsin
#6 Iowa
#17 Minnesota

The trend is not good for MN:
daily new cases, 7 day moving avg, 14 day change: +78%

Actually, 688 new cases is a big reprieve for Minnesota. It's 7 day average is 1,005 cases

Deep look / comparison of MN and it's 4 U.S. neighbors (ND, SD, IA, WI):
https://www.mprnews.org/story/2020/03/17/comparing-covid19-in-minnesota-and-its-neighbors-in-upper-midwest

Since MN is much more populous than ND and SD, for a fair comparison focus on the graphs that show the RATEs (rates per 100k) rather than the raw counts.
