Chris Christie says he has tested positive for the coronavirus
Source: Washington Post
Former New Jersey governor Chris Christie, who helped Trump prepare for Tuesday night's presidential debate, said Saturday morning he tested positive for the coronavirus.
"I just received word that I am positive for COVID-19," Christie wrote on Twitter. "I want to thank all of my friends and colleagues who have reached out to ask how I was feeling in the last day or two. I will be receiving medical attention today and will keep the necessary folks apprised of my condition."
Christie was in close contact with Trump and other senior officials in recent days. He attended the event in the Rose Garden last Saturday where Trump announced his pick to replace Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg on the Supreme Court. At one point, he was seen hugging Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah), who has tested positive for the virus.
On Sunday, Christie attended a news conference in the White House briefing room, along with press secretary Kayleigh McEnany and the president's personal attorney Rudolph W. Giuliani. They could be seen huddling close to one another, none of them wearing masks.

(13,017 posts)One by one. Fat people do not fair well. I did not know the virus passed through the anus and close contact to one is deadly. Close contact, I meant full head insertion.
Please, Barr, Graham, Turtle, and Trump family. Go visit him. Get your daily ass kissing in. Its safe, no mask required. Dont be a snowflake. Its a hoax, like a cold, take some of those millions of Hydroxy we paid for and get in there to cheer him up. Be Best. America is on its way to getting great again, pre trump great. Give me a Red Hat. Karma is making it so.

Christie might not survive this, trump either for that matter.

(169,736 posts)But I expect that was from the less-accurate "rapid tests".
The super-spreader Rose Garden event happened the Saturday before the Tuesday debate. CNN has been discussing the 72-hour "gap" of apparent "confirmation" of a positive and the reporting of it late Thursday night and Friday morning.
I.e., 45 apparently tested positive on Wednesday (probably when Hope Hicks tested positive) and he let that ride all the way to the end of the week. I expect that all the others like Christie, who were in contact with them, were ignoring what happened with Hicks and/or did not do the "full" nasal swab PCR test, until it was too late.

And that ASS cancelled the NY/NJ transit tunnel project, that WAS funded by the federal government, and had to repay hundreds of millions out of taxpayer's money because of that. It could have taken so much congestion off the GW Bridge.
He's a bully and always was one. We are South Jersey's media market and whenever he was out and about, we heard it and saw it.
