Trump Aide Luna Tests Positive for Virus in New White House Case
Source: bloomberg
White House aide Nick Luna, who serves as a personal attendant to President Donald Trump, has tested positive for coronavirus infection, according to people familiar with the matter.
Lunas diagnosis emerged a little more than 24 hours after Trump entered the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center for treatment of Covid-19 following his own infection.
Known as one of Trumps so-called body men, Luna is the latest member of Trumps inner circle of White House personnel to contract coronavirus. Hope Hicks, one of the presidents closest advisers, fell ill on Wednesday while traveling with Trump to Minnesota.
Luna, who runs Oval Office operations for the White House, accompanied Trump on his trip to Cleveland for the presidential debate on Tuesday and was also aboard Air Force One on the Minnesota trip when Hicks first began experiencing symptoms.

(19,201 posts)be around Hope Hicks all day, not to mention all of the other infected Trump sycophants, and remain COVID free? Just another of the curious discrepancies surrounding this "event".

Early during incubation period, tests might not pick up the virus.

(19,564 posts)Shame on the media for dogging a story which points out how Trump denied science and infected those near him. All while trying to pretend an epidemic away so it wouldn't harm his re-election chances. Meanwhile Americans were dying to the tune of more than 200k, just to date.
Yep. That's the type of free publicity the MSM shouldn't be giving Trump.
If needed.

(41 posts)Seems like the time for ads pointing out just what you articulated...
Not this respect for a dumbass that infected himself.
His entourage.
The executive branch.
And, soon to come the Senate.
Seems like a national security threat to me.
Surprised he has not been removed.
Man, that might be a good point to make...
Trump's tax fraud ancient history.
Suckers and losers ancient history.
All Trump. All the time.
Stop getting played.
How 'bout some Biden on my TV and internet?
How 'bout some solutions shouted at me.

(128,979 posts)The way they seem to do ad buys is most likely based on whether you are in a state that is a swing/battleground or not.
I haven't had the TV on for weeks until yesterday and literally saw this ad here in Philly that ran on MSNBC last evening -
And I was surprised to see that because it did focus on the other side of my state but I wouldn't call this some kind of a puff piece ad. I saw a different ad earlier in the day (I think on CNN) that also pounded on the pandemic.
The campaign raised $364 million just in the month of August. They have dozens and dozens of carefully target-marketed ads running across the country, apparently focusing on what was probably determined based on data gathered from surveys of the top issues important to people in each area they run the ad in. Here in Philly, most of the ads have focused on the botched COVID response. In other parts of my state, he has focused on the economy and manufacturing or farming. In still other places, there is a focus on "small businesses".
I.e., I am thinking that the "pulling the ads" announcement was a head-fake.

(4,168 posts)For those working around the president -- who would be mean to them if they wore a mask -- there was considerable emotional pressure to believe that coronavirus was a hoax, just like the flu, not something they had to worry about. If they acknowledged just how risky their own behavior was, they would have to confront a severely inconvenient conflict: wear a mask to stay safe or face Trump's displeasure.

Not that I feel sorry for these WH staffers, they chose to work there. But nobody should be required to risk their life for the job they're doing!
