Biden's national lead over Trump jumps to 14 points after debate in NBC News/WSJ poll
Source: NBC News
WASHINGTON Joe Bidens national lead over President Donald Trump nearly doubled after Tuesdays presidential debate, with voters saying by a 2-to-1 margin that Biden has the better temperament to be president, according to a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll.
The poll was conducted in the two days after the unruly and insult-filled Sept. 29 debate, but before Trump tested positive for Covid-19 and was hospitalized Friday at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
The Democratic nominee is now ahead of Trump by 14 points among registered voters, 53 percent to 39 percent up from his 8-point lead in the previous poll before the debate.
That 14-point advantage represents Bidens largest lead in the NBC News/WSJ poll during the entirety of the 2020 presidential campaign; his previous high was 11 points in July.

(41 posts)Prior to Covid the market was high b/c companies were taking out loans to buy their own stock back at ATH's. So executives could could get huge bonuses. Forcing the bank repo market to have to be propped up by the Federal reserve.
The economy has never been strong under Chump.

(15,526 posts)But not just Trump. There have been so many crimes, and Miller DEFINITELY needs to be indicted for crimes against humanity, and all these for profit prison people who have been brutalizing the children ripped from their parents' arms. I won't be forgetting that. There had BETTER be fucking TRIALS.
This is dead serious. America cannot tolerate what has been done to these people who came here in good faith seeking asylum. I have grandchildren, and every time I look at one of them, I think of these poor children who were taken from their parents by ICE and thrown in these for-profit cages, with their parents deported and NO PLAN AT ALL to track these families in order to reunite them in the future. This is genocide. It isn't OK. It isn't funny. It is a crime. And it needs to be redressed.
We need to spare no expense in caring for these children, finding their families, and making reparations to them. And WE are responsible for caring for those traumatized children for the rest of their lives.
And, the people who are responsible for making this horror happen, down to the meanest cruel guard, need to be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law. We did not accept the excuse that, "I was just following orders," from the guards at Auschwitz and Dachau, and we should not accept it from Trump's administration, the Department of Homeland Security, ICE/CBP, and the private for-profit concentration camp managers and guards. And the fucking ACCOUNTANTS.

(38,726 posts)9pm ET. Maybe after the Florida polls close. It will be that simple. As far as Trumps decisions from
November 3 to January 21 we don't know. Perhaps he will do very little and listen to the electorate who
soundly defeated him. Who knows?...I don't know nothing.
