BETHESDA, Md. (AP) President Donald Trumps blood oxygen level dropped suddenly on Saturday, but he has continued to improve, the White House physician said Sunday, suggesting that Trump could be discharged from the hospital as early as Monday.
Navy Cmdr. Dr. Sean Conley sought to clarify contradictory statements and confusion about the presidents condition on the steps of Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, where Trump was being treated for COVID-19.
Conley said the president had a high fever and a blood oxygen level below 94% on Friday and again on Saturday. The level currently stands at 98%, Trumps medical team said.
The president has continued to improve, Conley said.

(2,057 posts)How high was the fever, how low was the blood oxygen level, what was his actual blood pressure, etc.? Everybody on Trump's team, even his doctors, plays with the truth.

(1,789 posts)I have never seen a doctor so skilled in political style evasiveness. Of course his patient can't mouth the words "I condemn white supremacy." He may be under instructions to be vague, and is unusually good at it for a doctor.

It's been revealed via the statistics of the two photographs were taken less than 10 minutes apart!

(7,263 posts)I am still 50/50 if he really has it.
If Dr. Fauci would test him then I would believe 100%
Otherwise I still think that there may be something else going on politically and this is a cover story for it.
I just don't trust him or any of his minions. On anything. Too much polluted water under the bridge.

(9,977 posts)It would be nice for other doctors to know just how serious Trumps symptoms were and how the experimental treatments helped him. That knowledge could help treat other patients, but I suspect nothing will be shared.

(25,848 posts)are they treating it so aggressively?

(9,067 posts)...something in his case caused the docs to start with anti-clonal treatment, then Remdesivir, and now steroids today. That's not the same as take a Tylenol and get some rest.
The O2 or lung pictures or whatever indicates treatment for now. It was probably bad doctoring to state they would discharge him tomorrow. If they don't, then he has lost all credibility (if that's even possible). If they do discharge and MF45 has a relapse then he must be incompetent. I suspect that stupid is INSISTING that they discharge him.

(4,149 posts)The second to third weeks are generally when people start to deteriorate, so it is much, much too early to state that he is "improving." I've seen it with my own eyes, as I work in ICU in California. They are fucking lying AGAIN.

(44,973 posts)But like you said, his doctors know full well that it doesn't mean much as of yet, when dealing with covid patients.

(7,263 posts)Why did they do it? Don't know.
But the lies (for him and by him) at this point are coming fast and furious.

(3 posts)Stories aren't aligning somewhere. Dexamethasone is reserved for severe cases only. In fact it makes mild cases worse due to its immune suppressing effects. So either they're lying about his med regimen or about his rosy prognosis/possible exit from the hospital tomorrow.
Remdesivir + dexamethasone + IV antibodies is not something mild COVID patients get... even if they are high-profile patients. It could potentially kill you. This isn't "take a Tylenol & go to bed" stuff. Just more chaotic Russian misdirection propaganda tactics IMO. Combined with the staged EXIF data pics I'm taking it all with a huge pillar of salt. He's either not symptomatic at all or hanging on by a thread. But it can't be both.
DeminPennswoods
(15,278 posts)he's a lot sicker than the docs are saying - or are being allowed to say by the patient himself. Otherwise he'd be demanding his phone and tweeting up a storm about how covid is nothing or other nonsense.
