He posted a video before this ride promising a "surprise" visit to supporters outside.

This is just a publicity stunt in the SUV...and exposing all in the vehicle with him. CNN announcer is saying it appears he's going back to the hospital, not to the White House.

The Secret Service wore only N95 masks, not the full protective suits. Wish they would have refused this assignment. Selfish pig.

I sure hope they've assigned agents to cover him who have already had the disease, but this only feeds into the optics that he doesn't care about anybody but himself.

Update: He has now returned to Walter Reed. He did this without notifying any of the White House Pres Corps. He wore only a cloth mask.

And real legal penalties if you fail to isolate/quarantine while actively infected.
