Vice President Mike Pence postpones Friday appearance to vote in Indianapolis
Source: Indy Star
Vice President Mike Pence has canceled his Friday appearance in Indianapolis, where he planned to vote at the Indianapolis City-County Building.
His office did not provide an explanation when asked why. His office said the trip would be rescheduled soon.
Pence spoke at a rally Thursday in Nevada for President Trump's reelection campaign. He flew out Thursday afternoon from Nevada and landed just after 2 p.m. in Phoenix. He is scheduled to speak at a rally in the suburbs this evening.
He and his wife, Karen Pence, each tested negative for COVID-19 Thursday, according to his office.

(22,038 posts)You've conflated two unrelated events.
Speaker Pelosi announced that she will form a Commission on Presidential Capacity, something that Congress is supposed to do under the 25th Amendment. It won't really amount to much since Pence has to be the one to "pull the trigger" on invoking the 25th.
How is Pence's cancellation connected to that?
ETA: The article you linked doesn't say anything about the Speaker's planned announcement.

(675 posts)...no real mention of Trump. And no explanation on what is going on. At first I thought this news was nothing but now I'm starting to get very suspicious that something is up with Trump (beyond what we already know is wrong with him)

(8,920 posts)and I wouldn't consider hearing from him when using twitter or when
his staff announces something Trump wants to do.
I believe there is something seriously wrong health wise with Pendejo45.
And as I've stated in an earlier post, I really don't want to see Pendejo45 die,
that will make him a martyr, among his brain dead trumpettes.
I want him to experience the consequences of his actions.
I want him to feel the agony of defeat on Nov. 4th
I want him to feel what it's like to get arrested, charged and convicted knowing there is no chance of a pardon.
I want to see his internet privileges removed along with his twitter account.
I take no joy in watching him deteriorate into martyrdom.
Keep him alive, send in the best doctors we have, then throw the book at him.

(5,068 posts)Even though I don't want him to die, I want him to be sick enough, long enough that he has some inkling of what other people have gone through because of his arrogant, uncaring, selfish attitude where COVID is concerned.

Something strange is going on...on the other hand, everything has been strange since 2016, so this is par for the course. Boy, does that sound Orwellian!

(395 posts)Pence is probably the smartest one of the group (which is sad) and he might be realizing the only way out of this is the 25th. Like any crew the first one to flip gets the best deal, I don't think he tested positive but he might be lining up the cabinet to cut a deal.
