Nurse Who Praised Trump's COVID Response at RNC is Under Arrest for Shooting Woman During Argument

Source: Law and Crime

A West Virginia nurse who was one of the featured speakers during this year’s Republican National Convention (RNC) was on Thursday reportedly arrested and charged in connection with a shooting which required another woman to be air-lifted to a hospital for surgery, according to reports from several local news outlets, including WSAZ-TV.

Amy Johnson Ford, 39, also known as Amy Jolene Thorn and Amy Johnson, the reports say, was detained by officers with the Williamson Police Department and charged with malicious wounding in the shooting of Jonda Whitt.

“Through the investigation we came to find out that two females got into a verbal argument, turning into one of the females getting a gun. She did shoot the victim one time in the abdomen area,” Williamson Police Chief Grady Dotson told local ABC affiliate WCHS, Channel 8.

Dotson is also quoted as identifying the shooter as the same woman who spoke at the RNC.

And what's with all her names? Even if she divorced and took back a previous name or made up a brand new one, wouldn't the previous names not be aliases? Is she using all of those names? I have to wonder if she might have stolen someone's nursing license.

I loved most of my fellow nurses, some of the smartest, savviest, and most compassionate people on the planet. I've also worked with a few clinkers here and there. The only saints I've ever seen were made out of plaster. Everybody else goofs up once in a while.

Something is wrong with this gal. Premeditation will likely come into it.

I hope her victim makes a full recovery. Abdominal wounds are nasty.

But license appropriation or nurse ID stealing seemed to be rampant years ago when I practiced in Texas.

Even the police chief said so:

“Amy is well-known around the area for her participation and going over to the RNC committee and a nurse that was helping out with the coronavirus and was on the front line,” the police chief said, per the WCHS report.

Sounds like leniency is in the air.

According to Williamson Police, Thorn and the victim were in an argument at 841 Vinson St. when Thorn went to her vehicle, retrieved a handgun, and shot the other woman in the abdomen.

The victim was taken to ARH Hospital in South Williamson, Kentucky, and then air-lifted to Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, Kentucky, where she underwent surgery.

Williamson Police said that the victim is expected to be OK. Police also said that Thorn claimed the shooting was in self-defense.

when you search for her licensure as an RN or LPN (yes, you can do that), Amy Ford, Amy Thorn or combinations with middle names don't show up. I'm betting she's not even a nurse. More fake Rethug stuff.
