Gov. Andy Beshear and other members of his family are quarantining after coming in contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19, he announced Sunday afternoon in a video.
No members of the governor's family have tested positive for the coronavirus, he said in a taped statement alongside his son Will, and they feel "great," the governor said.
Still, Beshear said, "we want to make sure we're setting the example and that we're also keeping other people around us safe that we're walking the walk, not just talking the talk."

(1,184 posts)We need you! Best Kentucky governor in my lifetime.
Know about the rest of you, but if a number is unfamiliar to me I dont answer. Does anyone know if a contact tracer would leave a voicemail? I have been wondering about that for a while.

(1,296 posts)In our county the number is published and there is an entire page at the county health department website explaining about how you need to Answer the Call
It says (in part):
How It Works
First, public health staff will call anyone who has COVID-19 and will always provide residents with their name and (***) as the call back number.
the number that will appear on your phone is (***-***)and/or COVID CONTACT. If you see this, please answer the call.
If you miss a phone call from the number (***-***) or the caller identification COVID CONTACT, please call back (***)to speak with DCHD staff.
Edited because a link with the actual phone number appeared in my post and I didnt want anybody accidentally calling the contact trace folks
the information. I will check out my county health department for it.
