Scoop: Trump wants to hit campaign trail every day through election

This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by applegrove (a host of the Latest Breaking News forum).

Source: Axios

President Trump has asked his campaign to put him on the road every single day from now until Nov. 3.

Behind the scenes: His team is in the process of scheduling events to make that happen, two sources familiar with the discussions tell Axios. But not everyone thinks this is a good idea. One adviser said, “He’s going to kill himself.”

Why it matters: Look at the polls. Trump is in need of a rebound, and he's betting he's got a better chance on the move than sitting around the West Wing.

What we're hearing: The campaign is more worried than ever that seniors — a crucial voting bloc — are abandoning Trump over his handling of the pandemic.

Particularly if I could do that on my employer's dime. His campaign should be paying for this travel, but it's broke. Yet, you know damned well he'll find a way for the taxpayers to foot the bill for his BS while he jets around the country.

And he's never really done any work anyway (ever), other than watching FOX - and never will. Just flourish the sharpie when necessary.

So if he happens to off himself - a feature or a bug? (I'll keep any thought on that to myself on that score.)

This is extremely dangerous. Biden must do likewise.

We are trying to move a small number of people from one side to another, in about 5 states, and they don't like what they have to do (vote against the Republican). An active and vigorous appearing Donald Trump could allow them to slip back to his side.

Does anyone have any idea what Biden's schedule looks like?

He is in a panic. This is only going to make him look weaker as he will be unable to sustain the physical strain. In spite of the super drugs he took and thinking he is superman, there is no way he has the stamina.

In the meantime, Biden acting presidential maintains a steady campaign while taking all precautions for himself, his staff and everyone around him.

...to act out one of those horror stories in which one infected person manages to get everyone killed. The Stand, Masque of the Red Death, Cabin Fever, take your pick. (Just not World War Z, in which less-lethal diseases are found to somehow render people "invisible" to inexplicably perceptive and high-energy superzombies, which nonetheless politely swarm around said "invisible" people instead of trampling them. cough)

they will take him off the steroids? He may demand to be kept on them so he feels good. It will damage you Donny if you stay on them to long-even more damaged than you are. The steroids will get you one way or another. Sorry to say, I know. I have been on them since I was 18 for RA. I am now in my 60’s and suffering the consequences. I am on a tiny dose now, but the damage is done. When they put me on them I was told I would be on them for life. That was the thinking back in the 70’s.
