Ireland will be the first EU country to return to coronavirus lockdown, Prime Minister Micheal Martin said Monday, issuing a nationwide "stay at home" order but insisting schools will stay open. Measures coming into effect for six weeks from midnight on Wednesday will see all non-essential retail businesses close and bars and restaurants limited to takeaway or delivery service only.

(111,338 posts)but the northern plains states are the ones that are really being hammered by this things, one county in the Dakotas showing 500 cases per 100,000 per day. That is huge. They're the places that need to shut down, but Republicans won't do that.

Prime Minister Andrej Babis had repeatedly said these measures would never return.
