Biden's closing ad campaign
Source: Axios
Why it matters: Biden's team is betting that COVID-19 is on the ballot, and amplifying the stories of those affected by the pandemic with an emphasis on persuading voters in key battlegrounds to support the former VP.
Driving the news: Through Friday, Biden's team will have three ads in rotation on the YouTube homepage masthead as a national component to their closing ad campaign.
In addition, they're trying to reach at least eight subsets of the electorate across 16 states: AZ, FL, MI, NC, PA, WI, MN, NV, CO, IA, GA, OH, NH, VA, TX, NE-2.

(50,801 posts)We are not feeling the uncertainty, fear, and chaos of 2016. Dems are micromarketing superbly here. It almost seems like we didn't know much about our demographics in 2016. We've broken the electorate into smaller parts with more details. Trump meanwhile seems to still be using a sledge hammer. He knows about white suburban moms and white non-degreed men and blacks, but that's about it.
If we've truly solved the demographic puzzle it may well yield an election waterfall for generations.

TLP and MeidasTouch along with a multitude of online songs, video's and ads from a multitude of independent internet denizens are also critical.
These ads are relatively cheap, are grass roots driven, and reflect Real people's views, not canned Madison avenue memes.
I suspect that scholars will be studying this one for a long time to come.

"Former Vice President Joe Biden leads President Trump among Latino voters in Texas, Arizona, Florida and Nevada, with the narrowest margin in Florida, according to a collection of state polls conducted by Telemundo.
Why it matters: Hispanic voters are a critical bloc in this year's election. Experts say the group is vital to winning the race, and community organizers have aggressively engaged in get-out-the-vote campaigns for both candidates."
