Trump Supporters That Harassed Biden Bus Were Armed, Operation Organized in Private Facebook Group Linked to QAnon

By Matthew Impelli On 11/2/20 at 10:47 PM EST

Supporters of President Donald Trump who recently harassed Democratic candidate Joe Biden's campaign bus in Texas were armed and organized their operation in a private QAnon Facebook page, according to a new report.

The report, which was published by the fact-checking site, Snopes, states that the convoy of trucks that were seen on video surrounding a Biden-Kamala Harris bus on Texas' Interstate 35, organized the event in a private Facebook page called the Alamo City Trump Train. The report also notes that messages between the group's members suggested that they were armed with guns.

According to the report, on October 30, one group member posted "#OperationBlockTheBus RN," with "RN" referring to "right now."

The post "was endorsed with 142 reactions, including likes, laughing emojis, or love hearts. "I LOVE IT!!!!," said one commenter. "This is awesome," said another. Other comments included: "Great job!," "GOOD!," "Love it," "This is fucking hilarious," and "Awesome."," Snopes wrote in its report................

There are millions who get up-to-the-minute quality information on Facebook, and so as long as one controls one's page and 'friends' and 'likes,' one can make quality use of that platform.

Blaming the platform for destructive mobilizers cuts off discussion about how valuable that platform has actually been for FBI level law enforcement. When people yell "fire" in the crowded discourse theater, FB users catch it, not just moderators.

In my book, that makes the FB platform more a benefit than a cost to Americans.

there needs to be a federal investigation into all law enforcement agencies that were involved. And, if they are found negligent or actively refused to do their jobs, they should be removed from them, and the departments responsible should be dissolved. The thought that gets passed around about how bad it would be to remove the police is funny. I did not say remove anything. I said those departments need to be dissolved and others created to take their place. Why some people seem to want to skip that last part is funny, but no one said remove anything except those who have shown that they cannot be trusted to do their jobs, and the enabling departments that have shown their traitorous nature by their actions/inactions.

VOTE THEM ALL OUT!

In fact, a full asset seizure of everything a particular department has is called for. All that swag they have collected by legal (and not legal) means needs to be seized and sold to offset the lawsuits that they will be facing. If its includes pensions, I am okay with that. If it leads to dissolution of certain unions, so be it. Hey, if we truly live in a capitalistic society, then the rules apply across the board. You had your chance, you lost, and you pay for it. If I have to do it,. they have to do it.

I traveled most in rural areas. Every business you went into had FOX or one of the right wing radio broadcast on. It was a 24/7 denigration of the Democrats with vicious propaganda. Any opinion by what they considered liberal stations was discounted as lies. If a station such as CNN, CBS, etc. came on they actually would actually boo and yell turn the station. You can't escape it even in the churches. It is a virtual miracle than anyone is able to have an objective opinion.

I was especially troubled by the mind set of the young people who have undergone an intensive indoctrination program. They are forced to go alone to get along. The racial prejudice is extensive especially against Black and Hispanics. If Texas turned Blue it will have to be because of the metropolitan areas that have a heavy influx of non-native Texans. I lived in the South and one phenomena was how people who immigrate from Northern and Western states adapt to tacit if not open embracement of racist attitudes. I believe that it is the same desire to be accepted that allows for the compromise of their values.

is hard not to go along to get along. It is perhaps even harder to not fall into the cesspool of the Southern racist mindset. Wanting to be accepted and welcomed into society is especially difficult when one is immersed into it as a young, impressionable teenager, as I was. As a native New Yorker, moving to Tennessee in the late 70's at 14 years of age, I must admit I did fall into that cesspool.

I managed to climb out through education, traveling the world, and interacting with people of many races, creeds and nationalities. Mostly thanks to Uncle Sam and my time spent in the Army ('81-'89). I now live in East Tennessee and care not what others here think of me. I try to change minds when I can. Mostly, I keep to myself and work for a better world.

Oh, and vote. Every. Damn. Opportunity.

Did Armed Trump Supporters Harass a Biden Bus in Texas?

What's True
Vehicles, mostly pickup trucks flying flags in support of President Donald Trump, were seen driving near a Biden-Harris campaign bus on a highway in Texas. A video showed that at least one truck moved in front of the bus, appearing to slow its speed. A Trump supporter also admitted on Facebook to “slamming” a white SUV that appeared to accompany the campaign bus. The Trump supporters organized in an Alamo City Trump Train Facebook group, where several members discussed being armed.

What's False
Neither Joe Biden nor Kamala Harris were on the bus, as some tweets claimed.

The Alamo City Trump Train Facebook Group is still active on Facebook.

Local Police Say Biden Staffer May Have Been ‘At Fault’ in ‘Trump Train’ Highway Incident
National Review
November 2, 2020

Local police in Texas said over the weekend that the vehicle of a Joe Biden staffer may be “at fault” in a minor collision that occurred during an incident where Trump supporters in trucks surrounded and followed a Biden campaign bus. The incident occurred on I-35 in Hays County and involved a Biden staffer’s white SUV making contact with a Trump supporter’s black truck.

The San Marcos Police Department, which is handling any potential police reports on the crash, said it has researched the collision and watched footage of the incident online.

“The at-fault vehicle may be the white SUV and the victim appears to be the black truck,” the police department said in a statement.

“Calls to the driver of the white SUV have gone unanswered and SMPD has not been contacted by the driver of the black truck. Since SMPD has not spoken to either driver at this time, additional investigation would be required to fully ascertain who was at fault,” the department said.

The police department also said the Biden bus requested a police escort, but due to traffic police were not able to reach the campaign bus before it exited the jurisdiction.

Katie Naranjo, chair of the Travis County Democratic Party said in a tweet that Trump supporters followed the Biden bus through central Texas “to intimidate Biden supporters.”

“They ran into a person’s car, yelling curse words and threats. Don’t let bullies win, vote,” she wrote.

The Biden campaign also condemned the group of Trump supporters, accusing them of endangering those close to the campaign.

How ridiculous. If they're going to claim the White SUV (Biden Staffer) swerved into the Black SUV, well yeah, it was surrounded by a hoard of crazy Qanon Trumpers trying to intimidate and possibly harm the Biden staff. So there was the cause.

A San Marcos spokesperson said police received a call from the Biden campaign bus requesting a police escort but weren’t able to catch up to the bus before it exited the city due to traffic. The police have not spoken to either driver about the collision and said they weren’t able to determine who was at fault.

The authorities are aware and investigating and I sincerely hope there are multiple arrests.

There is one family, Steve and Randi Ceh, who moved to New Braunfels three years ago from Nevada. He has tried to wreak havoc in this small city.

You’ll have to pardon me for dreaming big. But as a Texan, if there had been a big, tough Biden supporter mad enough to make that black pickup driven by Eliazar Cisneros pull off the road, pulled that idiot out of the cab, and beat the ever living shit out of him...I think some of this would stop. These types are bullies and when confronted, usually tuck tail and run.

As I said, I dream big. No, I don’t think something like this makes us like them. I think something like this is going to ultimately happen and be needed to maintain a few rights for ordinary, law abiding people to live in the city they choose without harassment and drive on the interstate when they choose. It’s how you deal with bullies. You don’t have the luxury of not going down to their level of behavior because it’s all they understand and respect.
