Climate change: US formally withdraws from Paris agreement
Source: BBC
After a three-year delay, the US has become the first nation in the world to formally withdraw from the Paris climate agreement.
President Trump announced the move in June 2017, but UN regulations meant that his decision only takes effect today, the day after the US election.

(9,971 posts)Things are looking good for a Biden win, but the icing on the cake would be Georgia and Pennsylvania also going for Biden. Then, even if Trump goes to the SC, they would have a harder time handing the presidency to the scumbag.
I havent given up on the Senate yet, but at best we might get to 50 seats, which works for me. Otherwise, Biden would have to govern by Executive Orders, all of which will be taken to the SC to get them overturned. McConnell will do his usual obstruction act. He seems to be a man who will never give up power and will only leave office in a coffin.
