Kudlow: 'There will be a peaceful transfer of power' if Biden wins

Source: Politico

Larry Kudlow, President Donald Trump’s top economic adviser, insisted Friday that “there will be a peaceful transfer of power” if Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden is declared the winner of the White House race.

“This is a great country. This is the greatest democracy in the world. And we abide by the rule of law, and so will this president,” Kudlow said in an interview on CNBC. “There are some things to clean up here, and again, it’s not my area of expertise. I’ll leave that discussion to the campaign.”

Kudlow, the director of the National Economic Council, also sought to reassure the international community as the United States entered its third full day of vote-counting, after a tumultuous week that saw the president launch attacks against the nation’s electoral process and level false allegations of widespread voter fraud.

“We will continue peacefully, as we always do,” Kudlow said. “And I might add, anybody from around the world, offshore watching this, they should know that. That America is the greatest democracy, and we abide by the rule of law.”

If he doesn't concede, it's not that he's being difficult and planning on breaking the law, rather it's because he didn't lose.

Mitch and Lindsey are safe. They don't have to pass anything the Democrats want ( or water down any bill until its useless). Don't have to approve any cabinet positions that don't cow tow to Republican "values". Don't have to rubber stamp any judges period.

Without Trump, Mitch is the star again. Like when Obama won, and as soon as they had the Senate majority, he was beaming.

That they get to set the agenda, and also have Trump out of their hair, might be the best outcome for them. Experts say that 2022 will be even more difficult to turn the Senate blue. That's why they will have no problem pretending to "transfer" power to a basically lame duck Democratic President.

was made by idiots on social media. This led to it becoming a "story" that was picked up by cable news. Cable news then finds some "contributors" willing to talk about it, and give it further credibility. Now more news outlets pick it up and off it goes.

I think that if he thought he would achieve success via what would amount to a military, he would go ahead and do that. Numerous Republicans, like Crenshaw, are clearly communicating that the norms of electoral process will be upheld.
