George W. Bush-Era Attorney General Says Trump Lawyers Should Consider Backing Fraud Claims with Proof.
Former U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, who served during the George W. Bush presidency, said Friday on SiriusXMs The Dan Abrams Show that the Trump campaign and the president should consider backing up election fraud claims with proof.
Law&Crime founder and ABC News Chief Legal Analyst Dan Abrams, who has been vocal about the need for actual evidence, asked Gonzales for his thoughts. Gonzales said that, although he hasnt read all of the Trump campaign filings, allegations of this magnitude ought to be backed up by proof.

Even Rethugs are turning against dRumpf, the orange-felon, regarding his lies about voter fraud.
Trump is blatantly questioning the legitimacy of Democracy. Even his own party is calling him out on his anti-democracy bullshit.

(2,870 posts)Gonzales lied under oath repeatedly.
He prompted "enhanced interrogation techniques", later acknowledged as constituting torture.
He gave insufficient counsel, and failed to second-guess convictions and failed appeals to the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles.
He diminished protections for interrogation subjects.
His rulings were vocally challenged by scholars and human-rights advocates and were overturned by the courts.
He resigned following his handling of the firing of nine U.S. attorneys and testimony during congressional hearings.
In short, he was a presage of the SHITE-STORM Barr brought to that office.

(9,888 posts)Its not that Trump has outdone himself, its that hes finished. People are free now to say it like it is because Trump has nothing to offer anymore. No point in currying favor. Its more like, Typical Rethugs speaking out now that Trump has very little power to harm them. Although, Im sure theres plenty of Dems right now playing nice to Biden.
