Alex Trebek, the beloved host of gameshow “Jeopardy” since its 1984 debut in syndication, has died. He was 80.

The official Jeopardy account announced the news on Sunday morning, writing: “‘Jeopardy! is saddened to share that Alex Trebek passed away peacefully at home early this morning, surrounded by family and friends.’
